LCJE Conference 2017

You are most welcome to join us for the 11 th LCJE European Conference in Berlin, August 14-17, 2017.

The Protestant Christian world commemorate and celebrate the 500 th anniversary of Reformation this year. The Reformation brought new life to the Body of Messiah, renewed Biblical doctrines, our relationship to the Bible and our commitment to serve the Lord.

The Protestant approach to, and encounter with the Jewish people, has been diverse: The statements, especially from Martin Luther, are confusing and have created mistrust between the Jewish people and especially the Lutheran churches, sometimes even motivated and lead to anti-judaistic theology and anti-Semitic acts.

However, within protestant churches, many true Believers have re-discovered that the Jewish people is still beloved by God, due to the election (Rom.11,28). Protestant churches have therefore been strongly involved in holistic mission towards the Jewish people, including evangelism, social work and care. Is this still true?

Coming together in Berlin this year, we want to focus on the legacy of the reformation and its impact on Jewish-Christian relations in past and present. At the same time, we will focus on the future, searching for God’s plan and our role as Protestant and Evangelical Believers in Jewish-Christian relations and mission,

We especially want to invite the younger generation to this conference, but do hope to see as many of you as possible.

Looking forward to seeing you in Berlin!

Yours in Messiah,
Rolf G. Heitmann
LCJE European Coordinator
